How we check the numbers

  1. Every example is recalculated in code. Amounts, total interest and rates in our articles are never guessed: we compute them programmatically and check them against a manual calculation.
  2. Calculator formulas are covered by tests. Before every release, automated tests check the calculators against reference examples. If even one fails, the site is not updated.
  3. Rates, limits and taxes come only from official sources: the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Deposit Guarantee Fund and regulators. Without an official source we do not quote specific figures.
  4. Two pairs of eyes. One editor writes the article, another checks the numbers and facts before publication.
  5. Dates on every article. Financial terms change, so we update our articles and show the update date next to the publication date.
  6. We fix mistakes. If you spot an error, let us know: we will check it, correct it and update the date.
