Fraudsters took money from my card: what to do and how to get it back
Step by step: blocking the card, reporting to the bank and police, NBU rules and the Supreme Court position on when a bank must return the money.
Phishing is fraud in which someone posing as a bank, shop or government service tricks you into giving card details, passwords or codes.
Phishing is an attempt to get your data by impersonating someone you trust. Most often it takes the form of fake bank or delivery websites, and emails or messenger messages with a link «to receive a payment» or «confirm a purchase».
The key sign: you are asked to enter full card details, the CVV, a PIN or an SMS code where they are not needed. A real bank never asks for your CVV or SMS codes by phone or in a messenger.
If you entered your details on a suspicious site, block the card in your banking app immediately and tell your bank.
